Sexism

What's to come of the carnivore
once he finds that he is free,
and perceives the destruction
of his victims as he feeds?
Yet for now he chews this carcass
Drained of life by sharpened teeth
Unaware that deep inside him
Mutilated also, he bleeds

Should the lion rise off of all fours
and wipe the blood from his eyes,
to view himself, like prey, as maimed
and in remorse apologize,
will he break free of his habits?
His tormenting savage drives
Clinging to his being like residue
from a deadly, depraved time
